The first thing that you need to do is find the niche in which you will be marketing to. This is probably the most important aspect of the whole process. You have to find a niche that has an immediate problem where these people will spend money to get the solution or answers to their problems.

I use Amazon to search for books that seem to be selling well then I go into various forums and search for blogs on the subject to find out just what seems to be the biggest problem this niche is having. It is crucial to identify the biggest problem in which it is not easy to find a solid answer for. This is going to take some digging and research, but I promise you that there are a lot of these types of niches still out there.

Once you find the niche and the problem, the next step is to create a sales page. Make this real good and sympathize with the visitor letting them know that you understand their feelings and emotions. Then explain a brief story as to how you got a hold of the answer and how if they purchase your report they will have an immediate and downloadable solution to their problem. Be sure to touch on every single thing that the customer will get by purchasing this report.

Next you will need to write your report. Keep it simple and to the point. Start with an outline and make sure you include everything that you mentioned on the sales page. You should make sure that it includes graphics and pictures to make it more reader friendly.

It is up to you, but I always make people opt into a list before they get the product. You can even entice them by offering free content and teasing them with good material. This way you can sell to this list forever. To do this you will need to set up an autoresponder and an automated prewritten email series that offer content and promote your short report.
